THE SIKKIM LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY MEMBERS (PAYMENT OF PENSION) ACT, 1984 THE SIKKIM LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY MEMBERS (PAYMENT OF PENSION) ACT, 1984 (ACT NO.4 of 1984) AN ACT To provide for the payment of pension to persons who have been members of the Sikkim Legislative Assembly. (22.3.1984) Be it enacted by the Legislature of Sikkim in the Thirty. Fifth Year of the Republic of India as follows: 1. (I) This Act may be called the Sikkim Legislative Assembly Members (Payment of Pension) Act, 1984. Short title and commencement (2) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint. Definitions. 2. In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires, I ["(a) "Assembly" means the Sikkim Legislative Assembly duly constituted under the Constitution (Thirty-sixth Amendment) Act, 1975 and thereafter."] (b) "term of office'; in relation to a member of the Assembly, means the period beginning with the date of publication of the notification 'of his election as a member and ending with the date on which hill seat becomes vacant. BE it enacted by Parliament in the Fifty-third Year of the Republic of India as follows:- Short title and commencement . 1. (1) This Act may be called the Code of Civil Procedure (Amendment) Act, 2002. (2) It shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint, and different dates may be appointed for different provisions of this Act and for different States or for different parts thereof. Amendment of section 39, 2. In section 39 of the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), after sub-section (3), the following sub-section shall be inserted, namely:- "(4) Nothing in this section shall be deemed to authorise the Court which passed a decree to execute such decree against any person or property outside the local limits of its jurisdiction."
