LAND PORTS AUTHORITY OF INDIA ACT, 2010 LAND PORTS AUTHORITY OF INDIA ACT, 2010 31 OF 2010 An Act to provide for the establishment of the Land Ports Authority of India to put in place systems which address security imperatives and for the development and management of facilities for cross border movement of passengers and goods at designated points along the international borders of India and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. Be it enacted by Parliament in the Sixty-first Year of the Republic of India as follows:- CHAPTER 1 : PRELIMINARY SECTION 1 : Short title and commencement (1) This Act may Le called the Land Ports Authority of India Act, 2010. (2) It shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint, and different dates may be appointed for different provisions of this Act, and any reference in any such provision to the commencement of this Act shall be construed as a reference to the coming into force of that provision.
