.....Warehousing Corporation" means the Central Warehousing Corporation, established or deemed to be established under the Warehousing Corporation Act, 1962 (Act No. 58, 1962); (ix) "Chief Executive Officer" means a person, appointed as such under sub-section (2) of section 36 of the Act, by Agriculture Produce Marketing Committee. (x) "Collector" means the Collector of the District, where the Principal Market Yard of the Market Area is located, and includes such other officer, as may be authorized by him in that behalf; (xi) "Commissioner" means, the Commissioner of such administrative division of the State, where the Principal Market Yard of the Market Area is located;. (xii) "Commission Agent, dalal or arhatiya" means a person, who, in the ordinary course of business, negotiates or arrange contracts for the purchase or sale of the agricultural produce, on behalf of his principal, on payment of his commission or remuneration, whether in cash or kind, but it does not include the servant of such principal, whether engaged in negotiating or arranging such contracts; (xiii) "Committee " means the Agricultural Produce Marketing Committee, constituted under this Act; .....

CHAPTER I PRELIMINARY Short title, extent and commitment 1. (1) This Act may be called the Uttarakhand Police Act, 2007. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Uttarakhand and to the Police force of the State deployed outside the State, except the Revenue Police Area. THE UTTARAKHAND AUDIT ACT, 2012 THE UTTARAKHAND AUDIT ACT, 2012 [Act No. 02 of 2012] PREAMBLE An Act to make provision for, and to regulate audit of all Government machineries, Public Corporation, Governmental Companies, Institutions, Statutory Authorities, Panchayati Raj Institutions, Municipalities, Urban Local Bodies, Governmental Committees in the State of Uttarakhand. Be it enacted by the Legislature of State of Uttarakhand in the Sixty-Third Year of the Republic of India as follows: - Section 1 - Short title, extent and commencement (1) This Act may be called the Uttarakhand Audit Act, 2012. (2) It extends to the whole of Uttarakhand. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification, appoint in this behalf. Section 2 - Definitions In this Act :- (a) 'Audit' includes test audit, concurrent audit cent-per-cent audit and special audit and also inspection of accounts by the officers appointed under section 3; (b) 'Director' means the Director, Audit (with Local Funds Audit and Co-operative, Panchayat Audit) Department, Uttarakhand appointed under section 3 and interalia includes such officer on whom powers.....

(2) It shall come into force at once. Section 2 - Amendment of para (b) of sub-section (1) of Section 5 of Act No. 16 of 1939 (1) In para (b) of sub-section (1) of Section 5 of Act No. 16 of 1939 the words "one member of the Legislative Council" shall be deemed repealed and "two" persons elected from Hindu members of Legislative Assembly", shall be read as "three persons elected from Hindu members of Legislative Assembly". THE HIMGIRI NABH VISHWAVIDYALAYA (UNIVERSITY IN THE SKY) ACT, 2003 THE HIMGIRI NABH VISHWAVIDYALAYA (UNIVERSITY IN THE SKY) ACT, 2003 [Act No. 17 of 2003] PREAMBLE An Act replacing Ordinance No. 4 of 2003 to establish and incorporate an University sponsored by TALEEM Research Foundation, Ahmedabad, Gujarat in the State and provide for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto It is hereby enacted in the Fifty-fourth Year of the Republic of India as follows: Section 1 - Short title and commencement (1) This Act may be called the Himgiri Nabh Vishwavidyalaya (University in the Sky) Act, 2003.
