.....Court in respect of the powers conferred under Section 33 of the Maharashtra Recognition of Trade Unions and Prevention of Unfair Labour Practices Act, 1971, (Maharashtra Act No. 1 of 1972) CHAPTER I-GENERAL 1. The regulations may be cited as "The Industrial Court Regulations 1975". 2. (1) In these Regulations unless repugnant to the subject or the context- (a) "Advocate" means a person who is qualified to be enrolled as an Advocate under the Advocates' Act and enrolled as such. (b) "Application" means any application in writing under any of the provisions of the Act, Rules or these Regulations. (c) "Commissioner" means a person appointed by the Court for examination of witnesses. (d) "Deponent" with reference to an affidavit means the person who signs the affidavit and also swears to the truth of the statement in the affidavit. (e) "Member" means a member of the Industrial Court appointed by the State Government under the Act. (2) Any person detained under sub-section (1) shall forthwith be taken before Magistrate to be dealt with according to law. (3) Any person committing an offence under section 4 or section 6 shall be triable for such offence in any place in which he may be or which the State Government may notify in this behalf, as well as in any other place in which he is liable to be tried under any law for the time being in force.
