Ordinances how made (1) The first Ordinances made under sub-section (2) of section 28 may be amended, repealed or added to at any time by the Executive Council in the manner specified below. (2) No Ordinance in respect of the' matters enumerated in section 28, other than the one enumerated in clause (m) of sub-section (1) thereof, shall be made by the Executive Council unless a draft of such Ordinance has been proposed by the Academic Council. (3) The Executive Council shall not have power to amend any draft of any Ordinance proposed by the Academic Council under clause (2) but may reject the proposal or return the draft to the Academic Council for re-consideration either in whole or in part, together with any amendment which the Executive Council may suggest. (4) Where the Executive Council has rejected or returned the draft of an Ordinance proposed by the Academic Council, the Academic Council may consider the question afresh and in case the original draft is reaffirmed by a majority of not less than two-thirds of the members present and voting and more than half the total.....

After section 54E of the Income-tax Act, the following sections shall be inserted with effect from the 1st day of October, 1996, namely :- '54EA. Capital gain on transfer of long-term capital assets not to be charged in the case of investment in specified bonds or debentures. - (1) Where the capital gain arises from the transfer of a long-term capital asset (the capital asset so transferred being hereafter in this section referred to as the original asset) and the assessee has, at any time within a period of six months after the date of such transfer, invested the whole or any part of the net consideration in any of the bonds, debentures or units of any mutual fund referred to in clause (23D) of section 10, specified by the Board in this behalf by notification in the Official Gazette (such assets hereafter in this section referred to as the specified bonds or debentures), the capital gain shall be dealt with in accordance with the following provisions of this section, that is to say, - (a) if the cost of the specified bonds or debentures is not less than the net consideration in respect of the original asset, the whole of such capital gain shall not be charged under section.....

Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act and the Statutes,-- (a) the first Chancellor shall be appointed by the Visitor and the said officer shall hold office for a term of five years; (b) the first Vice-Chancellor shall be appointed by the Visitor in such manner and on such conditions as may be deemed fit and the said officer shall hold office for such term, not exceeding five years as may be specified by the Visitor; (c) the first Registrar and the first Finance Officer shall be appointed by the Visitor and each of the said officers shall hold office for a term of three years; (d) the first Court and the first Executive Council shall consist of not more than thirty members and eleven members respectively who shall be nominated by the Visitor and they shall hold office for a term of three years; (e) the first Academic Council shall consist of not more than twenty-one members who shall be nominated by the Visitor and shall hold office for a term of three years: Provided that if any vacancy occurs in the above offices or authorities, the same shall be filled by appointment or nomination, as the case may be, by the Visitor, and the person so appointed or.....

.....behalf by the appropriate Government, by notification but does not include any building or other construction work to which the provisions of the (Factories Act, 1948), or the (Mines Act, 1952), apply; (e) "building worker" means a person who is employed to do any skilled, semi-skilled or unskilled, manual, supervisory, technical or clerical work for hire or reward, whether the terms of employment be expressed or implied, in connection with any building or other construction work but does not include any such person- (i) who is employed mainly in a managerial or administrative capacity; or (ii) who, being employed in a supervisory capacity, draws wages exceeding one thousand six hundred rupees per mensem or exercises, either by the nature of the duties attached to the office or by reason of the powers vested in him, functions mainly of a managerial nature; (f) "Chief Inspector" means the Chief Inspector of Inspection of Building and Construction appointed under sub-section (2) of (Section 42) ; (g) "contractor" means a person who undertakes to produce a given result for any establishment, other than a mere supply of goods or articles of manufacture, by the employment of.....

Title: The Advisory Committees and Expert Committees

.....vacancies among, the members of State Advisory Committee shall be such as may be prescribed: Provided that the number of members nominated to represent the building workers shall not be less than the number of members nominated to represent the employers. Section 5 - Expert Committees (1) The appropriate Government may constitute one or more expert committees consisting of persons specially qualified in building or other construction work for advising that Government for making rules under this Act. (2) The members of the expert committee shall be paid such fees and allowances for attending the meetings of the committee as may be prescribed: Provided that no fee or allowances shall be payable to a member who is an officer of Government or of any body corporate established by or under any law for the time being in force.
