OF 1981 An Act to provide for the constitution and regulation of the Sikkim Armed Police Force in the State of Sikkim. [30th September, 1981 Be it enacted by the Legislature. of Sikkim in the Thirty-second Year of the Republic of India as follows: Short title, extent, commencement, and application. 1. (1) This Act may be called the Sikkim Armed Police Force Act, 1981. (2) It extends to the whole of Sikkim. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint. (4) It shall apply to the officers of the Force wherever they may he. Definitions. THE SIKKIM NATIONALISED TRANSPORT (PREVENTION OF TICKETLESS TRAVEL AND MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS) ACT 1981 ACT NO. 10 OF 1981 AN ACT to provide for prevention of ticketless travel in, and carriage of goods by, the Sikkim Nationalised Transport and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. {30th September, 1981) Be it enacted by the Legislature of Sikkim in the Thirty-second Year of the Republic of India as follows: Short title, extent and commencement. 1. (1) This Act may be called the Sikkim Nationalised Transport (Prevention of Ticketless travel and Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1981. (2) It extends to the whole of Sikkim. .....and punished accordingly: Provided that nothing contained in this sub--section shall render any such person liable to any punishment provided in this Act if he proves that the offence was committed without his knowledge or that he exercised all due diligence to prevent the commission of such offence. (2) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub--section (1), where an offence under this Act has been committed by a company and it is proved that the offence has been committed with the consent or connivance of, or is attributable to any gross negligence on the part of any director, manager, secretary or other officer of the company, he shall also be deemed to be guilty of that offence and shall be liable to be proceeded against and punished accordingly. Explanation.--For the purpose of this section,-- (a) 'company' means any body corporate and includes a firm or other association of individuals ; and (b) 'director' in relation to a firm, means a partner in the firm.
