.....The provisions of this Act or any rule or order made thereunder shall have effect notwithstanding anything inconsistent therewith contained in any enactment other than this Act or any instrument having effect by virtue of any enactment other than this Act. Section 49 - Protection of Action Take in Good Faith No suit, prosecution or other legal proceeding shall lie against- (a) the Central Government or a State Government or any officer or authority of the Central Government or State Government or District Magistrate or any officer authorised in this behalf by the Government or the District Magistrate or any other authority on whom powers have been conferred under this Act, for anything which is in good faith done or purported to be done in pursuance of this Act or any rule or order made thereunder; and (b) any serving or retired member of the armed forces or paramilitary forces in respect of any action taken or purported to be taken by him in good faith, in the course of any operation directed towards combating terrorism. Unlawful Activities Prevention Act, 1967 (Central) Section 41

An association shall not be deemed to have ceased to exist by reason only of any formal act of its dissolution or change of name but shall be deemed to continue so long as any actual combination for the purposes of such association continues between any members thereof.

Abolition of Cash Grants Act, 1967 (15 of 1967) Section 3

Title: Application of Act

(1) This Act shall apply to any cash grant specified in the Schedule other than those mentioned in sub-section (2). (2) Nothing contained in this Act shall apply to any such cash grant given in the name, or for the support, of any religious or charitable institution or given to any person for the performance of any service or charity, such service or charity being of a public nature connected with any religious or charitable institution: Provided that the payment of cash grant mentioned in this sub-section shall be made to the institution or to the person concerned only so long as the institution exists. (3) For the removal of doubts, it is hereby declared that the provisions of section 5 of the Hyderabad Atiyat Enquiries Act, 1952 (Hyderabad Act X of 1952), as in force in the Hyderabad Area, shall apply to the cash grants continued by this Act as they apply to Atiyat grants under that Act. (4) The Government may, by notification in the official Gazette, alter, add to or omit any of the entries in the Schedule.

Abolition of Cash Grants Act, 1967 (15 of 1967) Section 4

Title: Abolition of Certain Grants and Payment of Compensation Therefor

.....male minor before attainment of 18 years of age, or by a female minor before such attainment or marriage, falls short of four times the annual amount of cash grant, the deficiency shall be made good to the male minor on his attaining 18 years of age, and to the female minor on her attaining 18 years of age or her marriage, whichever is earlier. (4) Where a cash grant to which this Act applies is subject to the rendering of any service, the grantee shall, with effect from the date of discontinuation of the grant, stand relieved of the liability to render that service. (5) The compensation payable under sub-section (2) for the cash grants specified in Part A and Part C of the Schedule shall be paid to the grantee in such manner and in such installments as may be prescribed; and the compensation payable for the cash grant specified in Part B of the Schedule shall be paid to him either in full or in annual installments not exceeding twelve.

Rule 3 Maintenance and use of pilot ladder and other appliances (1) The pilot ladder and the appliances required to be carried on board under sub-rule (2) of rule 2 (hereinafter in this rule referred to as other appliances) shall be kept in good condition and shall be reserved for the use of officials and other persons, while a ship is arriving at, or leaving, a port and for the embarkation and disembarkation of pilots. (2) Pilot ladder and other appliances shall be used whenever a pilot, harbourmaster or assistant harbour-master embarks or disembarks from a ship. (3) It shall be the duty of the master or other person in charge of a ship to ensure that no ladder other than a pilot ladder is used by a pilot for embarkation or disembarkation. (4) The rigging of the pilot ladder and other appliances and the embarkation and disembarkation of a pilot shall be supervised by the mate or other responsible officer on board the ship.
