.....such instruments as the amount to be paid in case of a breach of conditions thereof may, notwithstanding anything in section 74 of the Indian Contract Act. 1872 be recovered from him in case of such branch under the Bengal Demands Recovery Act. 1913 (Bengal Act 3 of 1913) or any other law for the time being in force. 34. Power to remove difficulties (1) If difficulty or doubt arises in giving effect to the provisions of this Act the State Government may by order published in the Gazette, make such provision, not inconsistent with the purpose of this Act as appears to it to be necessary or expedient for the removal if the difficulty or doubt and the Order of the State Government in such cases shall be final. (2) Every order made under his section shall he laid, as soon as may be after it is made, before the Nagaland Legislative Assembly while it is in session for a total period of seven days, which may be comprised in one session or in two successive sessions, and if before the expiry of the session in which it is so laid or the session immediately following the Nagaland Legislative Assembly agree in making any modification in the order or the Nagaland legislative Assembly.....

.....by rules framed under this Act; (k) "registered holder" means a registered holder as defined under the Pondicherry Survey and Boundaries Act, 1967 (Act 8 of 1967); (l) "settlement" means the result of the operations conducted in a zone in order to determine the land assessment; (m) "Settlement Officer" means an officer appointed by the Government under sub-section (2) of section 3 and includes an office empowered under the Act to perform the functions of a Settlement Officer; (n) "Union territory" means the Union territory of Pondicherry; and (o) "zone" means a local area comprising one or more Communes or portions thereof which in the opinion of the Settlement Officer are contiguous and homogenous in respect of soil characteristics, physical configuration, yield of principal crops, rainfall and other irrigation facilities. .....by the Central Government by notification in the Official Gazette, on all or any of the goods mentioned in the First Schedule to the Central Excises Act as amended by this Act or any subsequent Central Act, a regulatory duty of excise which shall not exceed fifteen per cent. of the value of the goods as determined in accordance with the provisions of section 4 of the Central Excises Act : Provided that different dates and different rates may be specified by the Central Government for different kinds of goods. (2) Sub-section (1) shall cease to have effect after the 15th day of May, 1971, except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such cesser; and section 6 of the General Clauses Act, 1897 (10 of 1897), shall apply upon such cesser as if the said sub-section had then been repealed by a Central Act. (3) The duties of excise referred to in sub-section (1) in respect of the goods specified therein shall be in addition to the duties of excise chargeable on such goods under the Central Excises Act or any other law for the time being in force and such regulatory duties shall be levied for purposes of the Union and the proceeds thereof shall not be distributed.....

.....the following Item shall be substituted, namely :- "1A. CONFECTIONERY, COCOA POWDER AND CHOCOLATES IN OR IN RELATION TO THE MANUFACTURE OF WHICH ANY PROCESS IS ORDINARILY CARRIED ON WITH THE AID OF POWER, NAMELY :- (1) Boiled sweets, toffees, caramels, kilogram nuts (including almonds) and fruit kernels coated with sweetening agent, and chewing gums. Eighty paise per (2) Cocoa powder. Ten per cent. ad valorem. (3) Drinking chocolates, chocolates in the form of granules or powder. Ten per cent. ad valorem. (4) Chocolates in the form of blocks, slabs, tablets, bars, pastilles or croquettes or in any other form, not otherwise specified, whether or not containing nuts, fruit kernels or fruits. Eighty paise per kilogram."; (iii) after Item No. 1B, the following Items shall be inserted, namely :- "1C. FOOD PRODUCTS, IN OR IN RELATION TO THE MANUFACTURE OF WHICH ANY PROCESS IS ORDINARILY CARRIED ON WITH THE AID OF POWER, THE FOLLOWING, NAMELY :- Ten per cent. ad valorem. (1) Biscuits. Maharashtra National and State Parks Act, 1970 Complete Act

.....to the validity of anything previously done or omitted to be done under that rule. SECTION 27: REPEALS AND SAVINGS (1) On the commencement of this Act, the Bombay National arks Act, 1950. and the Madhya Pradesh National Parks Act, 1955, shall stand repealed. (2) Notwithstanding the repeal of the said laws by sub-section (1), - (a) any area constituted or declared to be a National Park under either of the repealed laws shall be deemed to be a constituted National Park under this Act; (b) anything else done or any other action taken(including any appointment or application made, notification, order or direction issued fee levied, proceeding taken or permission given) under either of the two laws so repealed and in force immediately before the commencement of this Act, shall in so far as it is not inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, and unless the State Government otherwise, directs, be deemed to have been made, issued, levied, taken or given under relevant provisions of this Act, and continue to be in force in the respective area accordingly, unless and until superseded by anything done or any action taken under this Act: Provided that, no regulations, rules, by-laws,.....

THE KERALA AGRICULTURISTS' DEBTRELIF ACT, 1970 [1] THE KERALA AGRICULTURISTS' DEBTRELIF ACT, 1970 [1] (ACT 11 Of 1970) An Act to give relief to indebted agriculturists in the State of Kerala Preamble.- WHEREASit is considered necessary to provide for the relief of indebted agiculturists in the State of Kerala; BE it enacted in the Twenty-first Year of the Republic of India as follows:- I. Short title , extent and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called The Kerala Agriculturists' Debt Relief Act, 1970. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Kerala. (3) It shall come into force at once. 2. Definitions._ In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires _ (1) "agriculturist" means a person who has an interest, other than as a simple mortgagee, in any agricultural or horticultural land in the State of Kerala, and includes- (a) an agricultural labourer; (b) a kudikidappukaran; and (c) a tenant. But does not include-\ (i) any person assessed to sales tax on a turnover which in the aggregate is not less than forty thousand rupees in any two years within the three years immediately preceding the commencement of this Act, under the Kerala General Sales Tax Act, 1963 or.....
