.....which is not sufficient to discharge the total amount then due under all the agreements to appropriate the sum so paid by him in or towards the satisfaction of the sum due under any one of the agreements, or in or towards the satisfaction of the sums due under any two or more of the agreements in such proportions as he thinks fit, and, if he fails to make any such appropriation as aforesaid, the sum so paid shall, by virtue of this section, stand appropriated towards the satisfaction of the sums due under the respective hire-purchase agreements in the order in which the agreements were entered into. Title: Appointment of Life Warden and Other Officers

(1) The State Government may, for the purposes of this Act, appoint,- (a) a Chief Wild Life Warden; (b) Wild Life Wardens;1[***] 2[(bb) Honorary Wild Life Wardens;] (c) such other officers and employees as may be necessary. (2) In the performance of his duties and exercise of his powers by or under this Act, the Chief Wild Life Warden shall be subject to such general or special directions, as the State Government may, from time to time, give. (3)3[The Wild Life Warden, the Honorary Wild Life Warden] and other officers and employees appointed under this section shall be subordinate to the Chief Wild Life Warden. ________________________ 1. .....one thousand rupees in the aggregate : Provided that this clause shall not apply to - (i) capital gains chargeable under the provisions of section 45; or (ii) receipts arising from business or the exercise of a profession or occupation; or (iii) receipts by way of addition to the remuneration of an employee;; (b) in clause (10), with effect from the 1st day of April, 1973, - (i) for the words ",a local authority or a corporation established by a Central, State or Provincial Act", the words "or a local authority" shall be substituted; (ii) for the portion beginning with the words "or any other gratuity" and ending with the words "whichever is less;", the following shall be substituted, namely :- "any other gratuity received by an employee on his retirement or on his becoming incapacitated prior to such retirement or on termination of his employment, or any gratuity received by his widow, children or dependants on his death, to the extent it does not, in either case, exceed one-half month salary for each year of completed service, calculated on the basis of the average salary for the three years immediately preceding the year in which the gratuity is paid,.....

Lime Stone and Dolomite Mines Labour Welfare Fund Act,1972 Section 4

Title: Payment of Duty of Excise

(1) Every duty of excise liviable under this Act on limestone or dolomite shall be payable,-- (a) to the occupier of the factory, by the person by whom such limestone or dolomite is sold or otherwise disposed of to such occupier; (b) to the Central Government, by the owner of the limestone or dolomite mine where the limestone or dolomite is used by such owner for any purpose in connection with the manufacture of1[any article or goods referred to in or specified under clause (ii) of section 3], within such period as may be prescribed; (2) All amounts referred to in clause (a) of sub-section (1) shall be collected by the occupier of the factory in such manner, and paid by him to the Central Government within such period, as may be prescribed. ________________________ 1. Carriage by Air Act, 1972 Section 4

Title: Application of Amended Convention to India

.....carriage by air to which those rules apply, irrespective of the nationality of the aircraft performing the carriage. 1[(2) For the purpose of this Act, the High Contracting Parties to the amended Convention and the date of enforcement of the said amended Convention shall be such as are included in Part II of the Annexure. (2A) The Central Government may, having regard to the objects of this Act, and if it considers necessary or expedient so to do, by notification in the Official Gazette, add to, or, as the case may be, omit from, Part II of the Annexure, any High Contracting Party and on such addition, or, as the case may be, omission, such High Contracting Party shall be or shall cease to be, a High Contracting Party.] (3) Any reference in the Second Schedule to the territory of any High Contracting Party to the amended Convention shall be construed as a reference to all the territories in respect of which he is a party. (4) Any reference in the Second Schedule to agents of the carrier shall be construed as including a reference to servants of the carrier. ___________________________ 1.
