(2) Any reference in this Act to any other Act or provision thereof which is not in force in any area to which this Act applies shall be construed to have a reference to the corresponding Act or provision thereof in force in such area. SECTION 03: ACT NOT IN DEROGATION OF ANY OTHER LAW The provisions of this Act shall be in addition to and not in derogation of the provisions of any other law for the time being in force. CHAPTER 02: CONSUMER PROTECTION COUNCILS SECTION 04: THE CENTRAL CONSUMER PROTECTION COUNCIL (1)24["The Central Government shall"] , by notification, establish with effect from such date as it may specify in such notification, a Council to be known as the Central Consumer Protection Council (hereinafter referred to as the Central Council).
