Title: Questioning the Territorial Integrity or Frontiers of India in a Manner Prejudicial to the Interests of Safety and Security of India

1[(1)] Whoever by words either spoken or written, or by signs, or by visible representation or otherwise, questions the territorial integrity of frontiers of India in a manner which is, or is likely to be, prejudicial to the interests of the safety or security of India, shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years, or with fine, or with both. 1[(2) Whoever publishes a map of India, which is not in conformity with the maps of India as published by the Survey of India, shall be punishable with imprisonment which may extend to six months, or with fine, or with both. (3) No Court shall take cognizance of an offence punishable under sub-section (2), except as a complaint made by the Government.] ________________________ 1. Section 2 renumbered as sub-sec. .....and purity having the chemical composition C2H5CH:] 2 [(1A) ] "authorisation" means an authorisation granted under section 36 for use, or for manufacture for use, of liquor for sacramental purposes; (2) "to bottle", with its various grammatical variations means to transfer any article from a cask or other vessel to a bottle, jar, flask, pot or similar receptacle for the purpose of sale, whether any process of manufacture be employed or not; and "bottling" includes rebottling; (3) "Commissioner" means the Prohibition Commissioner appointed under section 3; (4) "Committee" means any of the committees appointed by the State Government under section 8; (5) "country liquor" includes all liquor produced or manufactured in India; (6) "cultivation" includes the tending or protecting of a plant and does not necessarily imply raising it from seed; (7) (a) "denatured" means subjected to a process prescribed for the purpose of rendering unfit for human consumption; (b) "denatured spirituous preparation" means any preparation made with denatured spirit or alcohol and includes liquors, French Polish, Thinners and varnish prepared out of such spirit or alcohol; (8) "Deputy.....

.....as if the said enactments were enactments within the meaning of section 6, section 8 and section 24 of the said Act and had been repealed and re-enacted by this Act: Provided further, but subject to the preceding proviso, any permit, pass, licence or authorisation made or issued under any of the repealed enactments shall, so far as it is not inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, be deemed to have been made or issued under the corresponding provisions of this Act, and shall continue to be in force accordingly, unless and until it expires or is superseded by anything done or any action taken under this Act. (2) On the repeal of the Bombay Prohibition Act, 1949, in the 1 [Belgaum area] of the 1 [State of Karnataka] under sub-section (1) , the Indian Opium Act, 1 [1878] (Central Act I of 1878) , as it was in force in the 1 [Belgaum area] before the commencement of the Bombay Prohibition Act, 1949, shall revive and be in force in such area. (3) From the date this Act comes into force in the other areas of the 1 [State of Karnataka] under sub-section (4) of section 1, the enactments specified in Schedule B shall, to the extent they are in force in such areas, stand.....

Title: Statements, Etc., in a Notified Area

.....not below the rank of Sub-Inspector of Police, may search any person entering or attempting to enter, or being in, or leaving, a notified area and any vehicle, vessel, animal or article brought in by such person, and may, for the purpose of the search, detain such person, vehicle, vessel, animal or article. PROVIDED that no woman shall be searched in pursuance of this sub-section except by a woman authorised in this behalf by the police officer. (5) If any person is in a notified area in contravention of the provisions of sub-section (3), then, without prejudice to any other proceedings which may be taken against him, he may be removed there from by or under the direction of any police officer on duty in the notified area not below the rank of Sub-Inspector of Police. (6) If any person enters or attempts to enter a notified area or is there in contravention of any of the provisions of sub-section (3), he shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to one year, or with Fine, or with both
