The Repealing And Amending Act, 2015 Complete Act

.....in the Second Schedule are hereby amended to the extent and the manner mentioned in the fourth column thereof. Savings 4. The repeal by this Act of any enactment shall not affect any Act in which such enactment has been applied, incorporated or referred to; and this Act shall not affect the validity, invalidity, effect or consequences of anything already done or suffered, or any right, title, obligation or liability already acquired, accrued or incurred, or any remedy or proceeding in respect thereof, or any release or discharge of or from any debt, penalty, obligation, liability, claim or demand, or any indemnity already granted, or the proof of any past act or thing; nor shall this Act affect any principle or rule of law, or established jurisdiction, form or course of pleading, practice or procedure, or existing usage, custom, privilege, restriction, exemption, office or appointment, notwithstanding that the same respectively may have been in any manner affirmed, recognised or derived by, in or from any enactment hereby repealed; nor shall the repeal by this Act of any enactment provide or restore any jurisdiction, office, custom, liability, right, title, privilege,.....

.....OF ADMISSIONS AND FEES) ACT, 2015 MAHARASHTRA UNAIDED PRIVATE PROFESSIONAL EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS (REGULATION OF ADMISSIONS AND FEES) ACT, 2015 MAHARASHTRA ACT No. XXVIII OF 2015. (First published, after having received the assent of the Governor in the Maharashtra Government Gazette , on the 17th August 2015). An Act to provide for regulation of admissions and fees by Unaided Private Professional Educational Institutions in the State of Maharashtra and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. WHEREAS both Houses of the State Legislature were not in session; AND WHEREAS the Governor of Maharashtra was satisfied that circumstances existed which rendered it necessary for him to take immediate action to provide for regulation of admissions and fees by Unaided Private Professional Educational Institutions in the State of Maharashtra and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto ; and, therefore, promulgated the Maharashtra Unaided Private Professional Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions and Fees) Ordinance, 2015 on the 12th May 2015 ; AND WHEREAS it is expedient to replace the said Ordinance, by an Act of the State.....

The Merchant Shipping (Amendment) Act, 2014 Complete Act

.....sub-section (1) in respect of such ship as a copy of the records of the ship to be a true copy and such copy shall be admissible as evidence of the facts stated therein. Information regarding contravention of the provisions of Convention 356X. In the principal Act, after section 88, the following sections shall be inserted, namely: Definitions. 88A. In this Part, unless the context otherwise requires, (a) Declaration of Maritime Labour Compliance means a declaration issued by the Director-General of Shipping or by any officer, authority or organisation authorised by him in this behalf, in respect of a ship that it meets with the requirements and standards set out in the provisions of the Maritime Labour Convention; (b) "Maritime Labour Certificate" means the certificate issued by the Director-General of Shipping or by any officer, authority or organization authorised by him in this behalf, in accordance with the provisions of the Maritime Labour Convention; (c) "Maritime Labour Convention" means the International Convention of Maritime Labour Organisation on Maritime Labour Standards signed in Geneva on the 23rd February, 2006; (d) "seafarer" means any person who is employed or engaged or works in any capacity on board a sea going ship, but does not include (i) the employment or engagement.....

Title: Certain Restrictions on Foreign Companies or Individual or Association of Persons

The aggregate holding of equity shares by a foreign company either by itself or through its subsidiary companies or its nominees or by an individual or by an association of persons whether registered or not under any law of a country outside India taken in aggregate in the pension fund shall not exceed twenty-six per cent, of the paid-up capital of such fund or such percentage as may be approved for an Indian insurance company under the provisions of the Insurance Act, 1938(4 of 1938), whichever is higher. Explanation. -- For the purposes of this section, the expression "foreign company" shall have the meaning assigned to it in clause (23A) of section 2 of the Income-tax Act, 1961(43 of 1961).

.....its articles, keep in any country outside India, in such manner as may be prescribed, a part of the register referred to in sub-section (1), called "foreign register" containing the names and particulars of the members, debenture-holders, other security holders or beneficial owners residing outside India. (5) If a company does not maintain a register of members or debenture-holders or other security holders or fails to maintain them in accordance with the provisions of sub-section (1) or sub-section (2), the company and every officer of the company who is in default shall be punishable with fine which shall not be less than fifty thousand rupees but which may extend to three lakh rupees and where the failure is a continuing one, with a further fine which may extend to one thousand rupees for every day, after the first during which the failure continues.
