.....minor or of unsound mind or an idiot, his guardian, Committee or other legal curator shall be deemed to be an Intermediary for the purposes of this Act. For Statement of Objects and Reasons, see Orissa Gazette Ext./10-3-1951, p. 49; and for Report of Select Committee, see ibid, 17-9-1951, pp. 1-10, and for proceedings in the Assembly, see Proceedings of the Orissa Legislative Assembly, Vol. XIV, No. 23, pp. 8-11.] PREAMBLE An Act to provide for the better administration and governance of Hindu religious institutions and endowments in the State of Orissa Whereas it is expedient to amend and consolidate the law relating the administration and governance of Hindu religious institutions and endowments in the State of Orissa; It is hereby enacted as follows: Section 1 - Short title, extent, application and commencement (1) This Act may be called the Orissa Hindu Religious Endowments Act, 1951. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Orissa and applies to all Hindu public religious institutions and endowments.
