.....shall lie against the Government or the Collector or any other person for anything which is in good faith done or intended to be done under this Act or any rule made thereunder. 11. Power to remove difficulties .-If any difficulty arises in giving effect to the provisions of this Act, the Government may, as occasion may require, by order do anything not inconsistent with such provisions which appears to them necessary for the purpose of removing the difficulty. 12 . Power to make rules .-(1) The Government may, by notification in the Gazette, make rules to carry out the purposes of this Act. (2) In particular and without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing power, such rules may provide for- (a) the principles to be followed for the revision of assessment or rent stipulated in any grant or lease deed; (b) the form of and the particulars to be contained in, any appeal under sub-section (1) of section 6 and the fee for such appeal; (c) any other matter which has to be, or may be, prescribed. (3) Every rule made under this section shall be laid, as soon as may be after it is made, before the Legislative Assembly while it is in session for a total period of fourteen days.....

THE KERALA ADVOCATES' WELFARE FUND ACT,1980 [1] ACT 21 OF 1980) THE KERALA ADVOCATES' WELFARE FUND ACT,1980 [1] An Act to provide for the constitution of a welfare fund for the payment of retirement benefits to advocates in the State of Kerala and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. Preamble.--WHEREAS it is expedient to provide for the constitution of a welfare fund for the payment of retirement benefits to advocates in the State of Kerala and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto; BE it enacted in the Thirty-first year of the Republic of India as follows:- 1. Short title, extent and commencement . --(1) This Act may be called the Kerala Advocates Welfare Fund Act, 1980. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Kerala. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the Government may , by notification in the Gazette, appoint.[2] 2. Definitions --In this Act unless the context otherwise requires,- (a) "Advocate" means a person whose name has been entered in the State roll of advocates prepared and maintained by the Bar Council of Kerala under S.17 of the Advocates' Act,1961 (Central Act 25 of 1961) [ .].....

THE KERALA MARINE FISHING REGULATION[1] ACT, 1980 THE KERALA MARINE FISHING REGULATION[1] ACT, 1980 ( ACT 10 OF 1981 ) An Act to provide for the regulation of fishing by fishing vessels in the sea along the coast line of the State. Preamble.-WHEREAS it is necessary to provide for the regulation of fishing by fishing vessels in the sea along the coast line of the State ; BE it enacted in the Thirty-first Year of the Republic of India as follows : - CHAPTER I Preliminary 1. Short title, extent and commencement : -(1) This Act may be called the Kerala Marine Fishing Regulation Act, 1980. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Kerala. (3) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 24th day of November, 1980. 2. Definitions : - In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires, - (a) "adjudicating officer" means any officer of the Fisheries Department, not below the rank of an Assistant Director of Fisheries, authorised by the Government, by notification in the Gazette, to exercise the powers conferred on, and discharge the duties imposed upon, the adjudicating officer by this Act for such area as may be specified in the notification ; (b).....

THE KOTTAYAM ELECTRIC SUPPLY AGENCY (UNDERTAKING) ACQUISITION ACT, 1980 [1] THE KOTTAYAM ELECTRIC SUPPLY AGENCY (UNDERTAKING) ACQUISITION ACT, 1980 [1] ACT 3 OF 1980 An Act to provide for the acquisition of the undertaking of the Kottayam Electric Supply Agency. Preamble. "€WHEREAS the services offered by the Kottayam Electric Supply Agency, which is engaged in the supply of electrical energy in the areas falling under the jurisdiction of the Kottayam Municipal Council, has been consistently inadequate, irregular and unsatisfactory; AND WHEREAS an amount of one hundred and twenty-six lakhs rupees is due from the licensee to the Kerala State Electricity Board by way of arrears of price of energy purchased from the Board for distribution; AND WHEREAS in the opinion of the Government the financial position of the licensee is such that he is unable to efficiently discharge the duties and obligations imposed upon him by the license; AND WHEREAS such inadequate and irregular supply of energy has hampered and will continue to hamper the industrial and agricultural growth of the area of supply; AND WHEREAS it is necessary to acquire the undertaking.....

.....or in two or more successive sessions, and if, before the expiry of the session immediately following the session or the successive sessions aforesaid, both Houses agree in making any modification in the rule or both Houses agree that the rule should not be made, the rule shall thereafter have effect only in such modified form or be of no effect, as the case may be; so however, that any such modification or annulment shall be without prejudice to the validity of anything previously done under that rule. Section 5 - Repeal and saving (1) The Forest (Conservation) Ordinance, 1980 is hereby repealed. (2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the provisions of the said Ordinance shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the corresponding provisions of this Act.
