.....National Capital Territory of Delhi in the Fifty-eighth Year of the Republic of India as follows :-- Chapter I - PRELIMINARY Delhi Fire Service Act, 2007 [Delhi Act 2 of 2009] [17th January, 2009] PREAMBLE The following Act of the Legislative Assembly of the National Capital Territory of Delhi received the assent of the President of India on 17th January, 2009 and is hereby published for general information:-- (As passed by the Legislative Assembly of the National Capital Territory of Delhi on the 17th September, 2007) An Act to provide for the maintenance of a fire service and to make more effective provisions for the fire prevention and fire safety measures in certain buildings and premises in the National Capital Territory of Delhi and the matter connected therewith. Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the National Capital Territory of Delhi in the Fifty-eighth Year of the Republic of India as follows :-- Section 1 - Short title, extent and commencement (1) This Act may be called the Delhi Fire Service Act, 2007. THE DELHI FIRE SERVICE ACT, 2007 THE DELHI FIRE SERVICE ACT, 2007 (Delhi Act 2 of 2009) (As passed by the Legislative Assembly of the National Capital Territory of Delhi on the 17th September, 2007] [17th January, 2009] An Act to provide for the maintenance of a fire service and to make more effective provisions for the fire prevention and fire safety measures in certain buildings and premises in the National Capital Territory of Delhi and the matter connected therewith. Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the National Capital Territory of Delhi in the Fifty-eighth Year of the Republic of India as follows:- CHAPTER I PRELIMINARY 1. Short title, extent and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Delhi Fire Service Act, 2007. (2) It extends to the whole of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
