.....SALE AND USAGE) AND GARBAGE (CONTROL) ACT, 2000 The Delhi Degradable Plastic Bag (Manufacture, Sale and Usage) and Garbage (Control) Act, 2000 (Delhi Act No. 6 of 2001) (As passed by the Legislative Assembly of the National Capital Territory of Delhi on 29th November, 2000). An Act to prevent contamination of foodstuff carried in recycled plastic bags, reduce the use of plastic bags, throwing or depositing non-biodegradable garbage in public drains, roads river, river bed and places open to public view in the National Capital Territory of Delhi and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the National Capital Territory of Delhi in the Fiftieth Year of the Republic of India as follows: 1. Short title, extent and commencement (1) This Act may be called the Delhi Degradable Plastic Bag (Manufacture, Sale and Usage) and Garbage (Control) Act, 2000. THE KERALA GENERAL SALES TAX (AMENDMENT ) ACT, 20001 THE KERALA GENERAL SALES TAX (AMENDMENT ) ACT, 20001 (Act 8 of 2000) An Act further to amend the Kerala General Sales Tax Act, 1963. Preamble:•WHEREAS it is expedient further to amend the Kerala General Sales Tax Act, 1963 (15 of 1963) for the purposes hereinafter appearing; BE it enacted in the Fifty-first Year of the Republic of India as follows:• 1. Short title and commencement.• (1) This Act may be called the Kerala General Sales Tax (Amendment) Act, 2000. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st day of January, 2000. 2. Amendment of section 4.• In the Kerala General Sales Tax Act, 1963 (15 of 1963) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act) in clause, (c) of sub-section (3) of section 4, for the words "one lakh rupees" the words "one lakh fifty thousand rupees" shall be substituted. 3. .....Be it enacted by Parliament in the Fifty-first Year of the Republic of India as follows:- SECTION 01: SHORT TITLE, EXTENT AND COMMENCEMENT (1) This Act may be called the Designs Act, 2000 (2) It extends to the whole of India. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint; and different dates may be appointed for different provisions of this Act, and any reference in any such provision to the commencement of this Act shall be construed as a reference to the coming into force of that provision. SECTION 02: DEFINITIONS -In this Act, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context,- (a) "article" means any article of manufacture and any substance, artificial, or partly artificial and partly natural; and includes any part of an article capable of being made and sold separately; (b) "Controller" means the Controller-General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks referred to inSec.3-; (c) "copyright" means the exclusive right to apply a design to any article in any class in which the design is registered; (d) "design" means only the features of shape, configuration, pattern, ornament or composition.....
