Any officer or person, who vexatiously and unnecessarily delays forwarding to the officer in charge of the nearest Police Station any person arrested or article seized under this Act, shall, on conviction, be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to one year or with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees or with both. When anything has been seized by a Prohibition Officer other than the Commissioner or the Deputy Commissioner under the provisions of this Act or has been sent to him in accordance with the provisions of this Act, such officer, after such inquiry as may be deemed necessary,-- (a) if it appears that such thing is required as evidence in the case of any person arrested, shall forward it to the Magistrate to whom such person is forwarded or for his appearance before whom bail has been taken; (b) if it appears that such thing is liable to confiscation but is not required as evidence as aforesaid shall send it with a full report of the particulars of seizure to the Deputy Commissioner; (c) if no offence appears to have been committed, shall return it to the person from whose possession..... (1) Whenever the authority granting the licence considers that it should be cancelled for any cause other than those specified in section 45, he may cancel the licence either,-- (a) on the expiration of not less than fifteen days' notice in writing of his intention to do so; or (b) forthwith without notice after recording his reasons in writing for doing so. (2) When a licence is cancelled under sub-section (1) , a part of the licence fee proportionate to the unexpired portion of the term of such licence and the deposit made by the licensee in respect of such licence shall be refunded to him after deducting the amount due from him to the State Government.
