Section 2 - Repeal The enactments specified in Schedule I are hereby repealed in the area to which this Act extends. .....shall mean prescribed by rules made under this Act. Application of certain sections of Punjab Tenancy Act. 3. Subject to the provisions of this Act and the rules thereunder, the provisions of sections 79, 85, 86, 87, 89, 90, 91, 92 and 101, of the Punjab Tenancy Act, 1887, shall, so far as may be, apply to all proceedings of a Collector under this Act. Petition of redemption 4. The mortgagor or other person entitled to institute a suit for redemption may, at any time after the principal money becomes payable and before a suit for redemption is barred, present a petition to the Collector applying for an order directing that his mortgage be redeemed, and where the mortgage is with possession that he be put in possession of the mortgaged property. The petition shall be duly verified in the manner prescribed by law for the verification of plaints, and shalll state the sum which the petitioner declares to the best of his belief to be due under the mortgage. .....a Hanafi Mussalman, also for his own maintenance and support during his lifetime or for the payment of his debts out of the rents and profits of the property dedicated: Provided that the ultimate benefit is in such cases expressly or impliedly reserved for the poor or for any other purpose recognised by the Mussalman law as a religious, pious or charitable purpose of a permanent character. SECTION 04: WAKFS NOT BE INVALID BY REASON OF REMOTENESS OF BENEFIT TO POOR, ETC No such wakf shall be deemed to be invalid merely because the benefit reserved therein for the poor or other reliegious, pious or charitable purpose of a permanent nature is postponed until after the extinction of the family, children or descendents of person creating the wakf. .....OF MATERIAL USED IN MANUFACTURE. (1) Every person who manufactures matches shall allow an Inspector of Factories appointed under the Indian Factories Act, 1911, at any time to take for analysis sufficient samples of any material in use or mixed for use, in such manufacture: Provided that any such person may, at the time the sample is taken, and on providing the necessary appliances, require the Inspector to-divide the sample so taken into two parts, and to mark, seal and deliver to him one part. (2) Any person who refuses to permit any such Inspector of Factories as aforesaid to take a sample, in accordance with the provisions of sub-section (1), shall be punishable with fine which may extend to two hundred rupees.
