Foreign Marriage Act, 1969 Complete Act

.....being entered in the Marriage Certificate Book by the Marriage Officer, the certificate shall be deemed to be conclusive evidence of the fact that a marriage under this Act has been solemnized, and that all formalities respecting the residence of the party concerned previous to the marriage and the signatures of witnesses have been complied with. SECTION 15: VALIDITY OF FOREIGN MARRIAGES IN INDIA Subject to the other provisions contained in this Act a marriage solemnized in the manner provided in this Act shall be good and valid in law. SECTION 16: NEW NOTICE WHEN MARRIAGE NOT SOLEMNIZED WITHIN SIX MONTHS - Whenever a marriage is not solemnized within six months from the date on which notice thereof has been given to the Marriage Officer as required under section 5-or where the record of a case has been transmitted to the Central Government under section 10-, or where an appeal has been preferred to the Central Government under section 11-, within three months from the date of decision of the Central Government in such case or appeal, as the case may be, the notice and all other proceedings arising therefrom shall be deemed to have lapsed, and no Marriage Officer.....

Assam Rifles Act, 1941 Complete Act

.....are entitled to all the privileges which a police officer has under sections 42and43 of the Police Act, 1861,section 125 of the Indian Evidence Act, 1872and any other enactment for the time being in force. It is considered necessary to confer such privileges on the riflemen also. It is also considered that the Commandants, Assistant Commandants and riflemen should have the sane protection for acts done by them in the discharge of police duties as has been conferred on the members of the Central Reserve Police Force. The riflemen are posted for duty in the N.E.F.A., Nagaland and other border areas where there are no regular police forces. During the discharge of their duties, it is necessary for them to make searches, arrests, etc. To enable them to make searches, arrests, etc., it is proposed to confer on them the powers of a police officer. To facilitate the inquiry and trial of offences committed by riflemen, it is also proposed to confer magisterial powers on the Commandant and Assistant Commandants. [29th September, 2010] PREAMBLE An Act further to amend the Chhattisgarh Nirashriton Avam Nirdhan Vyaktiyon Ki Sahayata Adhiniyam, 1970. Be it enacted by the Chhattisgarh Legislature in the Sixty first year of the Republic of India, as follows:-- Section 1 - Short title, extent and commencement (1) This Adhiniyam may be called the Chhattisgarh Nirashriton Avam Nirdhan Vyaktiyon Ki Sahayata (Sanshodhan) Adhiniyam, 2010. (2) It extends to the whole State of Chhattisgarh. (3) It shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette. .....this Act (45 of 1860), be deemed to be a public servant within the meaning of section 21 of the Indian Penal Code. SECTION 18: INDEMNITY TO PERSONS ACTING UNDER THIS ACT No suit, prosecution or other legal proceedings shall be instituted against any person for anything which is in good faith done or intended to be done under this Act or rules made thereunder. SECTION 19: POWER TO MAKE RULES (l) The State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, make rules for carrying out the purposes of this Act.
