In section 135 of the principal Act,-- (A) for sub-section (1), the following sub-sections shall be substituted, namely:-- "(1) Whoever, dishonestly,-- (a) taps, makes or causes to be made any connection with overhead, underground or under water lines or cables, or service wires, or service facilities of a licensee or supplier, as the case may be; or (b) tampers a meter, installs or uses a tampered meter, current reversing transformer, loop connection or any other device or method which interferes with accurate or proper registration, calibration or metering of electric current or otherwise results in a manner whereby electricity is stolen or wasted; or (c) damages or destroys an electric meter, apparatus, equipment, or wire or causes or allows any of them to be so damaged or destroyed as to interfere with the proper or accurate metering of electricity; or (d) uses electricity through a tampered meter; or (e) uses electricity for the purpose other than for which the usage of electricity was authorised, so as to abstract or consume or use electricity shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years or with fine or with both: .....

.....subject to this Act who deserts or attempts to desert the service shall, on conviction by a Force Court,-- (a) if he commits the offence when on active duty or when under orders for active duty, be liable to suffer death or such less punishment as is in this Act mentioned; and (b) if he commits the offence under any other circumstances, be liable to suffer imprisonment for a term which may extend to seven years or such less punishment as is in this Act mentioned. (2) Any person subject to this Act who knowingly harbours any such deserter shall, on conviction by a Force Court, be liable to suffer imprisonment for a term which may extend to seven years or such less punishment as is in this Act mentioned. (3) Any person subject to this Act who, being cognizant of any desertion or attempt at desertion of a person subject to this Act, does not forthwith give notice to his own or some other superior officer, or take any steps in his power to cause such person to be apprehended, shall, on conviction by a Force Court, be liable to suffer imprisonment for a term which may extend to two years or such less punishment as is in this Act mentioned. Title: Offences in Respect of Property

Any person subject to this Act who commits any of the following offences, namely:-- (a) commits theft of any property belonging to the Government, or to any Force mess, band or institution, or to any person subject to this Act; or (b) dishonestly misappropriates or converts to his own use any such property; or (c) commits criminal breach of trust in respect of any such property; or (d) dishonestly receives or retains any such property, in respect of which any of the offences under clauses (a), (b) and (c) has been committed, knowing or having reasons to believe the commission of such offences; or (e) wilfully destroys or injures any property of the Government entrusted to him; or (f) does any other thing with intent to defraud, or to cause wrongful gain to one person or wrongful loss to another person, shall, on conviction by a Force Court, be liable to suffer imprisonment for a term which may extend to ten years' or such less punishment as is in this Act mentioned.

.....all mutineers, armed rebels, armed rioters, pirates, terrorists and any person in arms against whom it is the duty of any person subject to this Act to take action; (j) "enrolled person" means an under-officer or other person enrolled under this Act; (k) "Force " means the Sashastra Seema Bal; (l) "Force Court" means a Court referred to in Section 76; (m) "Force custody" means the arrest or confinement of a member of the Force under Section 69; (n) "Inspector-General" means the Inspector-General of the Force appointed under Section 5; (o) "Judge Attorney-General", "Additional Judge Attorney-General", "Deputy Judge Attorney-General" and "Judge Attorney" mean respectively the Judge Attorney-General, an Additional Judge Attorney-General, a Deputy Judge Attorney-General and a Judge Attorney of the Force appointed under sub-section (2) of Section 95; (p) "member of the Force" means an officer, a subordinate officer, an under-officer or other enrolled person; (q) "notification" means a notification published in the Official Gazette; (r) "offence" means any act or omission punishable under this Act and includes a civil.....
