G., IV-B, p. 582) Amended by Mah. 71 of 1975 (24 An Act to provide for the regulation of the warehousing of certain goods in the State of Bombay. WHEREAS it is expedient to regulate the warehousing of certain goods in the State of Bombay ; It is hereby enacted in the Tenth Year of the Republic of India as follows :- CHAPTER I-PRELIMINARY SECTION 01: SHORT TITLE, EXTENT AND COMMENCEMENT (1) This Act may be called the Bombay Warehouses Act, 1959. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Bombay. (3) It shall come into force on such 2 as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint. NOTIFICATION G. N., I. & C. (1) Where any country, specified by the Central Government in this behalf by notification in the Official Gazette, prevents persons of Indian domicile from becoming members of any institution similar to the Institute established under this Act or from practising the profession of costs accountancy or subject them to unfair discrimination in that country, no subject of any such country shall be entitled to become a member of the Institute or practise the profession of cost accountancy, in India. (2) Subject to the provisions of sub-section (1), the Council may prescribe the conditions, if any, subject to which foreign qualifications relating to cost accountancy shall be recognised for the purposes of entry in the Register.

SECTION 16: STAFF REMUNERATION AND ALLOWANCES (1) For the efficient performance of its duties, the Council may - (a) appoint a Secretary who may also, if so decided by the Council, act as Treasurer; (b) appoint such other persons on its staff as it deems necessary;.....
