THE CHHATTISGARH EXCISE ACT, 1915 THE CHHATTISGARH EXCISE ACT, 1915 [Act No. 02 of 1915] PREAMBLE An Act to consolidated and amend the Excise Law in Chhattisgarh. As amended subsequent to its extension to the entire State of Chhattisgarh by the following:- Where it is expedient to consolidated and amend the law in Chhattisgarh relating to the import, export, transport, manufacture, sale and possession on intoxicating liquor and of intoxicating drugs, and whereas the previous sanction of the Governor-General, required under Sections of the Indian Councils Act, 1892 (55 and 56, Vict., c. 14), has been obtained to the passing of this Act. It is hereby enacted as follows:-- Chapter I - PRELIMINARY Section 1 - Short title, extent and commencement (1) This Act may be called the Chhattisgarh Excise Act, 1915. (2) It extends to and shall be in force in whole of the Chhattisgarh. Section 2 - Definitions In this Act, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context.-- (1) "beer" includes ale, stout, porter and all other fermented liquors usually made from malt; (2) "bottle" means to transfer liquor from a cask or other vessel to a bottle,.....

Explanation-Where a person required to file a declaration under this sub-section does not have the capacity to enter into a contract, such declaration may be filed on his behalf by any person competent under the law for the time being in force to act in his behalf. (7) Nothing in sub-sections (2) to (6) shall apply in relation to any person- (a) who, immediately before the commencement of the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 1985, for year is a citizen of India; (b) who was expelled from India before the commencement of the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 1985, for year under the Foreigners Act, 1946 (31 of 1946). .....DIAGNOSTIC TECHNIQUES (REGULATION AND PREVENTION OF MISUSE) ACT, 1994 PRE-NATAL DIAGNOSTIC TECHNIQUES (REGULATION AND PREVENTION OF MISUSE) ACT, 1994 57 OF 1994 "An Act to provide for the prohibition of sex selection, before or after conception, and for regulation of pre-natal diagnostic techniques for the purposes of detecting genetic abnormalities or metabolic disorders or chromosomal abnormalities or certain congenital malformations or sex-linked disorders and for the prevention of their misuse for sex determination leading to female foeticide and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto." Be it enacted by Parliament in the Forth-fifty Year of the Republic of India as follows:-Prefatory Note- Statement of Objects and Reasons.-It is proposed to prohibit pre-natal diagnostic techniques for determination of sex of the foetus leading to female foeticide. Such abuse of techniques is discriminatory against the female sex and affects the dignity and status of women. A legislation is required to regulate the use of such techniques and to provide deterrent punishment to stop such inhuman act. 2. The Bill, inter alia, provides for:- (i) prohibition of the misuse.....
