.....that, if she has a husband living, she shall not adopt a son or daughter except with the consent of her husband unless the husband has completely and finally renounced the world or has ceased to be a Hindu or has been declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to be of unsound mind.". 4. Amendment of section 9. - In the Hindu Adoptions and Maintenance Act, in section 9,-(i) for sub-section (2), the following sub-section shall be substituted, namely:-"(2) Subject to the provisions of sub-section (4), the father or the mother, if alive, shall have equal right to give a son or daughter in adoption: Provided that such right shall not be exercised by either of them save with the consent of the other unless one of them has completely and finally renounced the world or has ceased to be a Hindu or has been declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to be of unsound mind.";(ii) sub-section (3) shall be omitted.V.K. .....clause (11), for sub-clause (v), the following sub-clauses shall be substituted, namely:-- "(v) dependant parents, whose income from all sources does not exceed such income as may be prescribed by the Central Government; (vi) in case the insured person is unmarried and his or her parents are not alive, a minor brother or sister wholly dependant upon the earnings of the insured person;"; (D) for clause (12), the following clause shall be substituted, namely:-- '(12) "factory" means any premises including the precincts thereof whereon ten or more persons are employed or were employed on any day of the preceding twelve months, and in any part of which a manufacturing process is being carried on or is ordinarily so carried on, but does not include a mine subject to the operation of the Mines Act, 1952(35 of 1952) or a railway running shed;'.

[29th September, 2010] PREAMBLE An Act further to amend the Chhattisgarh Nirashriton Avam Nirdhan Vyaktiyon Ki Sahayata Adhiniyam, 1970. Be it enacted by the Chhattisgarh Legislature in the Sixty first year of the Republic of India, as follows:-- Section 1 - Short title, extent and commencement (1) This Adhiniyam may be called the Chhattisgarh Nirashriton Avam Nirdhan Vyaktiyon Ki Sahayata (Sanshodhan) Adhiniyam, 2010. (2) It extends to the whole State of Chhattisgarh. (3) It shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette. Section 2 - Definition In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires:-- "Principal Act" means the Chhattisgarh Nirashriton Avam Nirdhan Vyakityon Ki Sahayata Adhiniyam, 1970 (No. 12 of 1970). Section 3 - Amendment of Section 2 (1) For sub-clause (iii) of clause (a) of Section 2 of the Principal Act, the following sub-clause shall be.....

.....(SALARIES, ALLOWANCES AND MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS) ACT, 2010 THE UTTARAKHAND MINISTERS (SALARIES, ALLOWANCES AND MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS) ACT, 2010 [Act No. 12 of 2010] PREAMBLE An Act to consolidate the law relating to the salaries, allowances and other facilities to Ministers of the State of Uttarakhand Be it is enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Uttarakhand in the Sixtieth Year of the Republic of India as follows-- Section 1 - Short title and commencement This Act may be called the Uttarakhand Ministers (Salaries, Allowances and Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 2009. (2) It shall come into force at once. Section 2 - Definitions In this Act-- (a) 'Maintenance' in relation to a residence includes the payment of local rates and taxes and the provision for water and electricity including electricity duty and (b) 'Family' in relation to a Minister means his or her spouse, son, daughter, father, mother, brother or sister residing with and wholly dependent on such Minister; (c) 'Minister' means a member of the Council of Ministers of the Government of Uttarakhand and includes the Chief Minister, a Minister of State and a Deputy.....
