BE it enacted by Parliament in the Fifty-third Year of the Republic of India as follows:- Short title and commencement . 1. (1) This Act may be called the Code of Civil Procedure (Amendment) Act, 2002. (2) It shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint, and different dates may be appointed for different provisions of this Act and for different States or for different parts thereof. Amendment of section 39, 2. In section 39 of the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), after sub-section (3), the following sub-section shall be inserted, namely:- "(4) Nothing in this section shall be deemed to authorise the Court which passed a decree to execute such decree against any person or property outside the local limits of its jurisdiction."
