.....means separately identifiable investment made by an existing industrial unit in the fixed capital assets to set up a project for manufacturing of new products (s) provided that the additional investment in the fixed assets is not less than 25% of the gross fixed capital and increase of additional employment is at least by 10%. (ddd) "Expansion" of an industrial units means additional fixed unit. For the purpose of calculation, Gross value of all the capital investment made on land, building and plant machinery of the existing unit will be taken into consideration. Expansion shall also imply an increase of at least 25% in the existing installed capacity as well as increase of additional employment of at least by 10% . Prior to going for expansion, the units should be operating at least at a minimum of 80% capacity during the three previous years." (ii) after clause (e), the following clause shall be inserted, namely:- "(ee) "Modernization" means separately identifiable investment made by an existing industrial unit in the fixed capital technology having a definite advantage in reduction of cost of production provided that the additional investment in the fixed.....

THE SIKKIM PANCHAYAT ACT, 1993 (ACT NO.6 OF 1993) AN ACT to consolidate and amend 'the law relating to Panchayats and to provide for the constitution and organisation of Panchayats as units of Self-Government in Sikkim in accordance with the provisions of Part IX of the Constitution as inserted by the Constitution (Seventy-Third Amendment) Act, 1992 and for matters connected therewith and Incidental thereto. BE it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of Sikkim in the Forty-forth Year of the Republic of India as follows : CHAPTER I PRELIMINARY 1. (1) This Act may be called the Sikkim Panchayat Act, 1993. (2) It extends to the whole of Sikkim except the areas which may hereafter be declared as or included in the Nagar Panchayat. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint and different elates may be appointed for different areas and for different provisions of the Act. 2. (1) In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires, (a) "Adhakshya". means 'an Adhakshya.....

To provide for the reorganization of Panchayats with a view to ensuring efficient Panchayat administration in the State and to provide for matters connected therewith and incidental thereto. [7th April, 1982) Be it enacted by the Legislature of Sikkim in the Thirty-third Year of the Republic of India as follows: CHAPTER I Preliminary Short title, extent and commencement. 1. (1) This Act may be called the Sikkim Panchayat Act, 1982.
