THE NATIONAL COMMISSION FOR MINORITY EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS ACT, 2004 THE NATIONAL COMMISSION FOR MINORITY EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS ACT, 2004 An Act to constitute a National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions and to provide for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. Be it enacted by Parliament in the Fifty-fifth Year of the Republic of India as follows:" Passed by Lok Sabha on 16th December, 2004 and by Rajya Sabha on 21st December, 2004. CHAPTER I PRELIMINARY SECTION 01: SHORT TITLE, EXTENT AND COMMENCEMENT (1) This Act may be called the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions Act, 2004. (2) It extends to the whole of India except the State of Jammu and Kashmir. (3) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 11th day of November, 2004.
