THE ORISSA CATTLE & POULTRY FEED (REGULATION) ACT, 1979 THE ORISSA CATTLE AND POULTRY FEED (REGULATION) ACT, 1979 [Act No. 10 of 1979] [Came into force with effect from the 31st November 1979 (vide Forest and Animal Husbandry Department Notification No. 12998, dated 21-7-1981).] [03rd April 1979] PREAMBLE An Act to Provide for the Regulation of Production and Quality of Cattle and Poultry Feed in the State of Orissa BE it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Orissa in the Thirtieth Year of the Republic of India, as follows:- Section 1 - Short title, extent and commencement (1) This Act may be called the Orissa Cattle and Poultry Feed (Regulation) Act, 1979. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Orissa (3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification, appoint in that behalf. Section 2 - Definitions In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,- (a) "Form" means a form specified in Schedule II; (b) "licensee" means a person to whom a license has been granted for manufacturing or processing pre-mixed cattle feed or pre-mixed poultry feed; (c) "licensing authority" means the person appointed by the State Government.....

.....THE PUNJAB WOMEN AND CHILDREN DEVELOPMENT AND WELFARE CORPORATION ACT, 1979 THE PUNJAB WOMEN AND CHILDREN DEVELOPMENT AND WELFARE CORPORATION ACT, 1979 [Act No. 19 of 1979] [November 28, 1979] PREAMBLE An Act to provide for the establishment of the Punjab Women and Children Development and Welfare Corporation. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Punjab in the Thirtieth Year of the Republic of India, as follows :- Section 1 - Short title and commencement (1) This Act may be called the Punjab Women and Children Development and Welfare Corporation Act. 1979. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 10th day of October, 1979. Section 2 - Definitions In this Act, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context, - (a) "bank" means - (i) a banking company as defined in clause (c) of section 5 of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 (Central Act 10 of 1949); (ii) the State Bank of India constituted under the State Bank of India Act, 1955 (Central Act 23 of 1956); (iii) a subsidiary bank as defined in the State Bank of India (Subsidiary Banks) Act, 1959 (Central Act 38 of 1959); (iv) a corresponding new bank.....

THE TAMIL NADU DEBT RELIEF ACT, 1979 THE TAMIL NADU DEBT RELIEF ACT, 1979 ACT NO. 40 OF 1979 CHAPTER I PRELIMINARY 1. Short title, extent and commencement " (1) This Act may be called the Tamil Nadu Debt Relief Act, 1979 (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Tamil Nadu (3) This Act except section 32,33 and 34 shall be deemed to have come into force on the 15th day of July 1978 and sections 32, 33 and 34 of this Act shall come into force on the date of the publication of this Act in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette. 2. Declaration " It is hereby declared that this Act is for giving effect to the policy of the State towards securing the principles specified in Article 46 of the Constitution. 3. In section 36 of the Income-tax Act, in sub-section (1), with effect from the 1st day of April, 1980, - (a) after clause (i), the following clause shall be inserted, namely :- "(ia) the amount of any premium paid by a federal milk co-operative society to effect or to keep in force an insurance on the life of the cattle owned by a member of a co-operative society, being a primary society engaged in supplying milk raised by its members to such federal milk co-operative society;"; (b) after clause (vii), the following clause shall be inserted namely :- (viia) in respect of any provision for bad and doubtful debts made by a scheduled bank in relation to advances made by its rural branches, an amount not exceeding one and a half per cent. of the aggregate average advances made by such branches, computed in the prescribed manner. Explanation : For the purposes of this clause, - (i) "rural branch" means a branch of a schedule bank situated in a place which has a population of not more than ten thousand according to the last preceding census of which the relevant figures have been published before the first day of the previous year; (ii) "scheduled bank" has the same.....

.....a period of thirty days from the date any judgment, sentence or order of a special court : Provided that the Supreme Court may entertain an appeal after the expiry of the said period of thirty days if it is satisfied that the appellant had sufficient causes for not preferring the appeal within the period of thirty days. SECTION 12: POWER TO MAKE RULES The Supreme Court may, by notification in the official Gazette, make such rules, if any, as it may deem necessary for carrying out the purposes of this Act. SECTION 13: NOTIFICATIONS UNDER SEC. 3 AND DECLARATIONS UNDER SEC. 5 TO BE LAID BEFORE PARLIAMENT Every notification made under sub-section (1) of Sec. 3-and every declaration made under sub-section (1) of Sec. 5-shall be laid, as soon as may be after it is made, before each House of Parliament.
