The Director and every other officer or employee acting under this Act or the rules made thereunder shall be deemed to be a public servant within the meaning of section 21 of the Indian Penal Code. 18. The Government may by notification add to the Schedule to this Act any other road not specified therein or omit therefrom any road specified therein, and on the issue of such a notification the Schedule shall be deemed to be amended accordingly. 19. (1) The Government may by notification direct that any power exercisable by it under this Act, except the power specified in sub-section (1) of section 4, sub-sections (3) and (7) of section 5, section 18 and section 25, shall, in relation to such matters and subject to such conditions, if any, as may be specified in the notification, be exercisable also by such officer or authority subordinate to the Government as may be specified in the notification. (2) The Director may, with the approval of the Government, by an order in writing delegate any of his powers and functions under this Act or the rules made thereunder to such other.....
