.....to do anything necessary or expedient for purposes of such development and for purposes incidental thereto: Provided that save as provided in this Act, nothing contained in this Act shall be construed as authorising the disregard by the Authority of any law for the time being in force. (2) It shall come into force at once. Section 2 - Definitions In this Act unless the context otherwise requires " (a) "Assembly" means the Orissa Legislative Assembly; (a-1)"Chlef Whip" and "Deputy Chief Whip" shall respectively mean those Members of the Assembly who are for the time being the Government Chief Whip and the Government Deputy Chief Whip; (b) "Committee" means a Select Committee or other Committee of the Assembly and includes any Committee appointed by Government for a purpose.....

Be it enacted by the Mizoram Legislative Assembly in the Fifty-fifth year of the Republic of India as follows:- 1. Short title and commencement (1) This Act may be called the Mizoram Salaries and Allowances of Minister (Second Amendment) Act, 2005. (2) It shall come into force from the date of publication in the Mizoram Gazette. 2. Insertion of a new proviso A new proviso shall be inserted after Section 6 of the Principal Act namely: "Provided that a Minister who is not provided with any Government Quarter/Bungalow shall be entitled to receive such sum of rupees as may be fixed by the Government from time to time for furnishing his residences".
