The (Bengal) Alluvion & Diluvion Act, 1847 Complete Act

.....bears to the mufassal jama of the whole estate; but, if the mufassal jama of the whole estate or of the land lost cannot be ascertained to the satisfaction of the local Revenue authorities, then the said local Revenue authorities shall make a deduction from the sadar jama of the estate equal to so much of the whole sadar jama of the estate as bears to the whole in the same proportion as the land lost bears to the whole estate. And this deduction with the reasons thereof, shall be forthwith reported by the local Revenue-authorities for the information and orders of the Board of Revenue whose orders thereupon shall be final. Section 6 - Assessment of increments to revenue paying estates Whenever on inspection of any such new map it shall appear to the local Revenue authorities that land has been added to any estate paying revenue directly to Government, they shall without delay assess the same with a revenue payable to Government according to the rules in force for assessing alluvial increments, and shall report their proceedings forthwith to the Board of Revenue, whose orders thereupon shall be final. Sonthal Parganas Act, 1855 Complete Act

.....from the operation of such laws the district called the Damin-i-Koh, and other districts which are inhabited principally by that tribe: It is enacted as follows ,- SECTION 01: DISTRICTS REMOVED FROM OPERATION OF GENERAL REGULATIONS 2Clause 1.- The districts described in the Schedule to this Act are hereby removed from the operation of the general Regulations of the Bengal Code and of the laws passed by the Governor-General of India in Council, except so far as is hereinafter provided; and3[no Central Act passed before the commencement of Part III of the Government of India Act, 1935,] shall be deemed to extend to any part of the said districts, unless the same shall be specially named therein : Proviso. Provided that nothing herein contained shall4[* * *] remove any part of the said districts from the operation of5Regulation 10 of 1804 of the Bengal Code; nor permanently settled land revenue due under the same, nor any law relating to the sale of lands for arrears of revenue, or relating to patni taluks or to the sale thereof for arrears of rent, nor any law relating to mutations or batwara or to any other matter to which the6[State Government] shall at any time notify in.....

The (Bengal) Embankment Act, 1855 Complete Act

.....the Collector shall thereupon proceed to value and make compensation for such huts, trees and crops, in the manner prescribed in Section 12 of this Act. Section 8 - Section 8 Clause 1. Application by land-holder to have a sluice made in public embankment - If any land-holder, farmer or cultivator be desirous of having a sluice made in any public embankment for the purpose of drainage or irrigation, he shall make an application in writing to the Collector of the district in which such embankment is situate. The application shall contain such particulars of the land to be drained or irrigated as may enable the officers of the Crown to judge of the advantage which may be derived from the work, and shall declare as regards an embankment maintained at the expense of the State, whether the applicant is willing to bear such part, not exceeding half of the cost thereof, as may be determined by the Provincial Government; and, as regards any other public embankment whether the applicant is willing to defray the whole or such part of the cost incidental to and attendant on, the proposed work, as may be determined as aforesaid. Clause 2. Officer in immediate charge to report on.....

Title: Revenue Remitted to Great Britain, and Monies Arising in Great Britain to Be Paid to Secretary of State in Council

.....State in Council, to be applied for the Purposes of this Act; and all such Monies, except as herein-after otherwise provided, shall be paid into the Bank of England, to the Credit of an Account to be opened by the Governor and Company of the Bank of England, to be instituted "The Account of the Secretary of State in Council of India"; and all Monies to be placed to the Credit of such Account under this Act shall be paid out upon Drafts or Orders signed by Three Members of the Council, and countersigned by the Secretary of State or One of his Under Secretaries, and such Account shall be a public Account: Provided always, that the Secretary of State in Council may cause to be kept, from Time to Time, under the Care of their Cashier, in an Account to be kept at the Bank of England, such Sum or Sums of Money as they may deem necessary for the Payments now made out of Money under the Care of the Cashier of the said Company.

Title: Cash Balance of the Company at the Bank to Be Transferred to the Secretary of State in Council

Such Amount of Money as at the Time of the Commencement of this Act may be standing to the Credit of the East India Company at the Bank of England shall be transferred by the Governor and Company of the Rank of England to the Credit of the Account to be opened in the Name of the Secretary of State in Council as aforesaid.

Title: Stock Account to Be Opened at the Bank

There shall be raised in the Books of the Governor and Company of the Rank of England such Accounts as may be necessary in respect of any Stock or stocks of Government Annuities, and all such Accounts respectively shall be in intituted "The Stock Account of the Secretary of State in Council of India", and every such Account shall be a public Account.
