NEW DELHI MUNICIPAL COUNCIL ACT 1994 Section 325

Title: Butcher's fish-monger's and poulter's licence

.....or the carcass of such animal or such flesh found therein. (ii)The Chairperson may remove and sell by auction or otherwise dispose of anyanimal or carcass of any animal or any flesh seized under clause (i) of thissub-section. (iii)If within one month of such seizure the owner of the animal, carcass or fleshfails to appear and prove his claim to the satisfaction of the Chairperson orif the owner is convicted of an offence under this Act in respect of suchanimal, carcass or flesh, the proceeds of any sale under clause (i) of thissub-section shall vest in the Council. (iv)Any person slaughtering any animal or selling or exposing for sale the flesh ofany such animal in any place or manner not duly authorised under the provisionsof this Act may be arrested by any police officer without a warrant. (v) Noclaim shall lie against any person for compensation for any damage necessarilycause by any such entry or by the use of any force necessary for affecting suchentry.

The Indian Penal Code 1860 Complete Act

.....1908, `India', means the territory of India excluding the State of Jammu and Kashmir. Under s. 2(e) of the Monopolies and Restrictive Trade Practices Act, 1969, `India' means for the purposes of this Act the territories to which this Act extends (i.e., whole of India except the State of Jammu and Kashmir).
