THE RED CROSS SOCIETY (ALLOCATION OF PROPERTY) ACT,1936 [Act, No.18 of 1936] [AS ON 1957] [27th October,1936] PREAMBLE An Act to provide out of the property of the Indian Red Cross Society a fund to be administered in Burma by a Burma Red Cross Society, and to terminate in Burma the existing functions of the Indian Red Cross Society. Title: Allocation of Equitable Sharing of Time

.....candidates under section 38 for the election and shall be valid till forty-eight hours before the hour fixed for poll for such election. (3) The allocation of equitable sharing of time under sub-section (1)shall be binding on all political parties concerned. (4) The Election Commission may, for the purposes of this section, make code of conduct for cable operators and electronic media and the cable operators and every person managing or responsible for the management of the electronic media shall abide by such code of conduct. Explanation.--For the purposes of this section,-- (a) "electronic media" includes radio and any other broadcasting media notified by the Central Government in the Official Gazette; (b) "cable television network" and "cable operator" have the meanings respectively assigned to them under the Cable Television Networks (Regulation) Act, 1995(7 of 1995).'] ______________________ 1. Title: Central Government to Allocate Required Quantity of Foodgrains from Central Pool to State Governments

.....allocate foodgrains in accordance with the number of persons belonging to the eligible households identified in each State under section 10. (3) The Central Government shall provide foodgrains in respect of entitlements under sections 4, 5 and section 6, to the State Governments, at prices specified for the persons belonging to eligible households in Schedule I. (4) Without prejudice to sub-section (1), the Central Government shall,-- (a) procure foodgrains for the central pool through its own agencies and the State Governments and their agencies; (b) allocate foodgrains to the States; (c) provide for transportation of foodgrains, as per allocation, to the depots designated by the Central Government in each State; (d) provide assistance to the State Government in meeting the expenditure incurred by it towards intra-State movement, handling of foodgrains and margins paid to fair price shop dealers, in accordance with such norms and manner as may be prescribed by the Central Government; and (e) create and maintain required modern and scientific storage facilities at various levels.

Title: Allocation of the Water Resources of the River Yamuna

(1) The utilisable water resources of the Yamuna River up to Okhla, as allocated, before the appointed day, to the existing State of Uttar Pradesh under the Memorandum of Undertakings, dated the 12th May, 1994 shall be further allocated between the successor States by mutual agreement within a period of two years, failing which, the Central Government shall, by order, determine the allocation of such water resource between the successor States within a further period of one year. (2) The State of Uttaranchal shall, on the appointed day, be inducted as a member of the Upper Yamuna Board constituted for the implementation of the Memorandum of Undertaking referred to in sub-section (1).

Title: Allocation of Expenditure Chargeable to Project on Main Objects

The total capital expenditure chargeable to a project shall be allocated between the three main objects, namely, irrigation, power and flood control as follows, namely:-- (1) expenditure solely attributable to any of these objects, including a proportionate share of overhead and general charges, shall be charged to that object, and (2) expenditure common to two or more of the said objects, including a proportionate share of overhead and general charges, shall be allocated to each of such objects in proportion to the expenditure which, according to the estimates of the Corporation, would have been incurred in constructing a separate structure solely for that object, less any amount determined under clause (1) in respect of that object.
