(1) The State Government may, subject to sub-section (3) of section 1, regulate general education, professional education, medical education, technical education, commerce education and special education at all levels in accordance with the provisions of this Act. (1) The State Government may, by order, direct that with effect from the commencement of such academic year and for children with such age group as may be specified in the order, primary education shall be compulsory in any area : Provided that a child who has completed the age of five years shall not be denied admission into the school.
