THE CARDAMOM (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1977

An Act to amend the Cardamom Act, 1977.
BE it enacted by Parliament in the Twenty-eighth Year of the Republic of India as follows :--
1. Short title.
This Act may be called the Cardamom (Amendment) Act, 1977.
2 . Amendment of section 14.
In section 14 of the Cardamom Act, 1965 (42 of 1965.) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), in sub-section (1), for the words "not exceeding two per cent.ad valorem", the words "not exceeding five per cent ad valorem" shall be substituted.
3 . Amendment of section 33.
In section 33 of the principal Act, in sub-section (3), for the words "in two successive sessions, and if, before the expiry of the session in which it is so laid or the session immediately following", the words "in two or more successive sessions, and if, before the expiry of the session immediately following the session or the successive sessions aforesaid" shall be substituted.
