Save as provided in this Act, the words "conviction" and "sentence" shall cease to be used in relation to children dealt with under this Act and any reference in any enactment to a person convicted, a conviction or a sentence shall in the case of a child be construed as including reference to a person found guilty of an offence, a finding of guilty or an order made upon such a finding, as the case may be.

NOTES

The order was passed by a Metropolitan Magistrate who was presiding over the juvenile court, acquitted the child of offence under sec. 384 r/w section 114 of the Cr. P. C. and directed confiscation of cash amount and issue of proclamation with respect to immovable property. It was held that the order was not final order in terms of section 4(1)(g), and an appeal was not maintainable. - B. B. Maskar v. Kisansingh Durgasingh, 1986 Mah. L. J. 391.
