Section 1 - Short title, extent and commencement

(1) This Act may be called the¹[Karnataka] Electricity (Taxation on Consumption) Act, 1959.

(2) It extends to the whole of the¹[State of Karnataka].

(3) The provisions of this Act, except section 13, shall be deemed to have come into force on the first day of July, 1959.
