| THE TAMIL NADU DEPUTY COLLECTORS ACT (VII OF 1914) [14th December, 1914m 6th January, 1915] An Act to amend the (Substituted by A.O. 1969) [Tamil Nadu] Uncovenanted Officers Act, 1857. Preamble : " WHEREAS it is necessary to define more clearly the powers of Deputy Collectors appointed under the (Substituted by A.O. 1969) [Tamil Nadu] Uncovenanted Officers Act, 1857, it is hereby enacted as follows: " 1. Short title : " (1) This Act may be called The (Substituted by A.O. 1969) [Tamil Nadu] Deputy Collectors Act, 1914. 2. Extent : " It extends to the whole of the Presidency of Madras. 3. Omitted by Government of India (Adaptation of Indian Laws) Order, 1937 4. Deputy Collectors to have all the powers of subordinate and Assistant Collectors : " The expressions "Subordinate Collector "and" Assistant Collector" in section 3of Madras Regulation VII of 1828 shall included and be deemed always to have included a Deputy Collector appointed under the (Substituted by A.O. 1969) [Tamil Nadu] Uncovenanted Officers Act, 1857 (Act.
