| 1THE PUNJAB MINISTERS AND DEPUTY MINISITERS SALARIES AND ALLOWANCES (VALIDATION) ACT, 1965 (Punjab Act No. 9 of 1965) [Received the assent of Governor of the Punjab on the 25th April, 1965, and first published for general information in the Punjab Government Gazette (Extraordinary), Legislative Supplement, Part I, of April 26, 1965.] An Act to validate the acts of furnishing a guarantee by the State Government to the Central Bank of India Limited, Chandigarh, in respect of loans raised by certain Ministers and Deputy Ministers from that Bank for the purchase of motor cars. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Punjab in the Sixteenth Year of the Republic of India as follows : " 1. This Act may be called the Punjab Ministers short title, and Deputy Ministers Salaries and Allowances (Validation) Act, 1965. 2. Every act of furnishing a guarantee by the validation. State Government to the Central Bank of India Limited, Chandigarh, in respect of a loan, amounting to a sum of Rs. 14,500 (Rupees fourteen thousand and five hundred only), raised in the year 1962 by a Minister or a Deputy Minister for the purchase of a motor car is hereby validated and shall not be called into question on the ground that no provision exists for such purpose in the East Punjab Ministers' Salaries, Act, 1947, or the Salaries and Allowances of Deputy Ministers, Punjab, Act, 1956. 1For Statement of Objects and Reasons, see Punjab Government Gazette (Extraordinary), 1965, page 596. |
