The Orissa State Commission for Backward Classes (Amendment) Act, 1994 Complete Act - Bare Act

An act to amend the Orissa State Commission for Backward Classes act, 1993.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Orissa in the Forty-fifth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-

Short title.

This Act may be called the Orissa State Commission for Backward Classes (Amendment) Act, 1994.

In section 3 of the Orissa State Commission for Backward Classes Act, 1993 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), in sub-section (2), for clause (d), the following clause shall be substituted, namely;"

"(d) a member-Secretary, who is or has been an officer of the State Government not below the rank of a Joint Secretary to the Government of Orissa."

In section 13 of the principal Act,"

(i) in sub-section (1) the words and comma "in consultation with the Accountant-General, Orissa" appearing at the end shall be omitted;

(ii)

for sub-section (2), the following sub-section shall be substituted,

namely:"

"(2) The Accounts of the Commission shall be subject to audit under the Orissa Local Fund Audit Act, 1948;" and

(iii)

sub-section (3) shall be deleted.
