| THE CODE OF CRIMINAL PROCEDURE (ORISSA AMENDMENT) ACT, 1959 [Published vide Orissa Gazette Ext./11.11.1959-O.A. No. 21 of 1959. For the Bill See Orissa Gazette Ext./9.3.1959.] An Act to Amend the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Orissa in the Tenth Year of the Republic of India as follows: Section 1 - Short title and commencement (1) This Act may be called the Code of Criminal Procedure (Orissa Amendment) Act, 1969. (2) It shall come into force at once. Section 2 - Section 2 Amendment of Section 17, Act 5 of 1898-In Sub-section (4) of Section 17 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898 after the words "by the District Magistrate" the words "or in his absence at headquarters by the Additional District Magistrate or if there be more than one such Additional District Magistrate by any one of them", shall be inserted. |
