An Act to authorise payment and appropriation of certain further sums from and out of the Consolidated Fund of the State for the services of the year ending on the thirty-first day of March 2003. WHEREAS by virtue of Article 204 of the Constitution of India, read with Article 205 thereof, it is necessary to provide for the passing of an Appropriation Act for the appropriation of further sums from and out of the Consolidated

Fund of the State for the services of the year ending on the thirty-first day of March 2003; and for the purpose of authorising payment of the said sums; it is hereby enacted in the Fifty-fourth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-

SECTION 01: SHORT TITLE

This Act may be called the Maharashtra (Supplementary) Appropriation Act, 2003.

SECTION 02: WITHDRAWAL OF RS. 23,63,75,31,000/- OUT OF THE CONSOLIDATED FUND OF THE STATE FOR THE FINANCIAL YEAR 2002-2003

From and out of the Consolidated Fund of the State there may be paid and applied sums not exceeding those specified in column (4) of the schedule hereto annexed amounting in aggregate to the sum of Two thousand three hundred sixty three crores, seventy five lakhs, thirty-one thousand rupees only towards defraying the several charges which will come in course of payment during the year ending on the thirty-first day of March 2003, in respect of the services and purposes specified in column (2) of the schedule.

SECTION 03: APPROPRIATION

The sums authorised to be paid and applied from and out of the Consolidated Fund of the State by this Act shall be appropriated for the services and purposes expressed in the schedule in relation to the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 2003.
