| THE KERALA STATE HOUSING BOARD (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1988 [1] (ACT 10 OF 1988) An Act further to amend the Kerala State Housing Board Act, 1971. Preamble. " whereas it is expedient to amend the Kerala State Housing Board Act, 1971 for the purposes hereinafter appearing; be it enacted in the Thirty-ninth Year of the Republic of India as follows: " 1. Short title and commencement. "(1) This Act may be called the Kerala State Housing Board (Amendment) Act, 1988. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 15th day of February 1988. 2. Amendment of section 6."In the Kerala State Housing Board Act, 1971 (19 of 1971) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), in section 6, for sub-sections (1) and (2), the following sub-section shall be substituted, namely: " "(1) The Chairman and the members of the Board shall hold office during the pleasure of the Government: Provided that the term of office of the Chairman appointed under section 4 or a member nominated under clause (c) of the said section shall not in any case exceed three years from the date of his appointment or nomination, as the case may be.". 3. Repeal and saving. "(1) The Kerala State Housing Board (Ame ndment) Ordinance, 1988 (7 of 1988), is hereby repealed. (2) Notwithstanding such repeal anything done nor any action taken u nder the principal Act as amended by the said Ordinance shall be deem ed to have been done or taken under the principal Act as amended by this Act. |
