THE INDIAN SUCCESSION (KERALA AMENDMENT) ACT, 1996
An Act to amend the Indian Succession Act, 1925, in its application to the State of Kerala . Preamble . " WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the Indian Succession Act, 1925, in its application to the State of Kerala for the purpose hereinafter appearing; BE it enacted in the Forty-seventh Year of the Republic of India as follows: " 1 . Short title, extent and commencement. "( 1) This Act may be called the Indian Succession (Kerala Amendment )Act, 1996. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Kerala . (3) It shall come into force at once. 2. Amendment of section 213. " In sub-section (2) of section 213 of the Indian Succession Act, 1925 (Central Act 39 of 1925), after the word 'Muhammadans', the words 'or Indian Christians' shall be inserted. |
