(ORAL) This order will dispose of two petitions bearing CRM M-43002 and 43005 of 2013 for quashing of FIR and cross-version on the basis of compromise.

In Iqbal Singh and others FIR No.144 dated September 16, 2013 under Sections 307, 324, 323, 148, 149 IPC read with Sections 25 and 27 of Arms Act, Police Station Ghall Khurd, District Ferozepur, was registered at the instance of Harbans Singh alleging that the petitioners have assaulted and fired at the complainant and other respondents injuring respondent No.3- Gora Singh.

A cross case vide DDR No.27 under Sections 324, 323, 148, 149 IPC was registered at Police Station Ghall Khurd District Ferozepur at the instance of Karamjeet Singh alleging that Ranjeet Singh and others had assaulted the complainant and injured Gurbaksh Singh.

Both the parties have entered into compromise and sought quashing of FIR and cross version.

Parties were directed to appear before the Illaqa Magistrate and get their statement recorded.

A report has been received from the Illaqa Magistrate that the compromise has been effected between the parties voluntarily.

FIR No.FIR No.144 dated September 16, 2013 under Sections 307, 324, 323, 148, 149 IPC read with Sections 25 and 27 of Arms Act registered at Police Station Ghall Khurd, District Ferozepur, and DDR No.27 under Sections 324, 323, 148, 149 IPC registered at Police Station Ghall Khurd District Ferozepur and all the criminal proceedings emanating therefrom are hereby quashed subject to the condition that petitioners Iqbal Singh and others will deposit a total sum of Rs.10000/- with Punjab State Human Rights Commission, Chandigarh and Rs.5000/- with Punjab Police Welfare Fund, Sector 9, Chandigarh within a period of one month and petitioners Ranjeet Singh and others will deposit a total sum of Rs.10000/- with Punjab State Human Rights Commission, Chandigarh and Rs.5000/- with Punjab Police Welfare Fund, Sector 9, Chandigarh within a period of one month.
