Learned counsel for the petitioners states that the petitioners will be satisfied if respondent no.2, i.e., Senior Superintendent of Police, Gurdaspur, is directed to take appropriate action, in accordance with law, on application, dated 19.2.2014, Annexure P5, already made to him by the petitioneRs.As per averments made in the petition both the petitioners are major.
Date of birth of petitioner no.1-Sarvan Kaur, as per copy of Matriculation Examination Certificate, Annexure P1, is 30.5.1994, and date of birth of petitioner No.2- Varinder Singh, as per copy of Passport, Annexure P2, is 1.3.1984.
They got married on 19.2.2014, as per marriage certificate, Annexure P3.
Photographs of the marriage are Annexure P4.
In view of the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioners and without going into the merits of the claim raised by the petitioneRs.this petition is disposed of with direction to respondent no.2, i.e.,Senior Superintendent of Police, Gurdaspur, to take appropriate action, in accordance with law, on application, dated 19.2.2014, Annexure P5, Meenu already stated to have been moved to him by the petitioneRs.2014.02.26 10:12 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document chandigarh Crl.M.No.M-6566 of 2014 (O&M) -2- However, it is made clear that this order will be having no effect on the validity of alleged marriage of petitioners and also on any other civil or criminal proceedings instituted against petitioner no.2 as per law.
