Petitioner Amandeep Singh alias Aman has preferred this petition under Section 439 Cr.P.C.seeking regular bail in case FIR No.60 dated 04.04.2012 registered at Police Station City Batala, District Gurdaspur under Sections 454, 382, 506, 342, 148, 149, IPC (Sections 392, 395, 455, 411, 120-B, added later on) and Sections 25 and 27 of Arms Act.
Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that as per prosecution version, the recovery from the present accused is 372 gms of gold jewellery.
On the other hand, learned State counsel opposed the bail application.
I have heard learned counsel for the parties and have gone through the record.
The petitioner is in custody since 03.04.2013.
He is not required for custodial interrogation purpose and nothing is to be recovered from him.

The trial of the case will take a long time.
No useful purpose will be served by keeping the petitioner in custody till the disposal of the case.
Therefore, keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the present case and without discussing the facts of the case in minute details and without expressing any opinion on the merit of the case, the present petition is accepted and the petitioner is ordered to be released on regular bail on his furnishing bail bonds in the sum of ` 50,000/- with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of Trial Court/Duty Magistrate.
