Petitioner has been made accused for the offence under Sections 3(1)(x) of the Scheduled Caste and Schedule Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, and Sections 323/504/34 of the Indian Penal Code, in connection with P.C.R. Case No.289 of 2006, corresponding to Special Case No.5 of 2007. There is allegation against the petitioner to have assaulted the complainant and to have abused him in the name of his tribe. The petitioner was granted provisional bail by order dated 17.7.2013 in view of the ailment of the petitioner, which has been extended till 24.8.2013 by order dated 14.8.2013.
