Whoever in any public street or other public place, whether a building or not, gives or causes to be given to any child any intoxicating liquor or dangerous drugs except upon the order of a duly qualified medical practitioner in case of sickness or other urgent cause shall, on conviction, be punished with fine which may extend to two hundred rupees.
