(1) This Act may be called the1[Karnataka] Entertainments Tax Act, 1958.
(2) It extends to the whole of the1[State of Karnataka].
(3) Section 19 shall come into force at once in the whole of the1[State of Karnataka] and the rest of this Act shall come into force at once in the areas of the State in which any of the enactments repealed by section 19, was in force. All the provisions of this Act (except section 19) shall come into force in such other area or areas of the State from such2[date] or dates as the State Government may by notification specify.
