PREAMBLE

An Act for remunerating tile Sheriffs of Calcutta, Madras and Bombay for the execution of Mufassal Process under Act 23 of 1840.{See now the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898 (Act 5 of 1898), s.3 See also the Code of Civil Procedure (Act 5 of 1908), s.3.}

For making better provision for the Sheriffs of Calcutta, Madras and Bombay, in remuneration for the execution of legal process issued by Courts out of the said towns, respectively; It is enacted as follows:-
